Many studies (see Dr. Bruce Perry's work) on touch, eye contact, the entire nurturing not only nutritionally but physically as well benefits and helps develop the brain of the infant. I don't think breastfeeding has anyhthing to do with whether or not someone goes to college. My mother didn't breastfeed either myself or my sister and we both went on to receive master's degrees. I will say that my parent's support and encouragement to further my education was a huge factor in my decision to go to college. And if I am right...neither support nor encouragement have anything to do with breastfeeding. I have to say I don’t agree with this study.
