Great post. As a mom and someone who works for a swingset company, I am big on creative play and allowing kids to exercise their imagination. Too much entertainment for kids comes from batteries or a plug in the wall. Not enough of it is generated from their minds!!
At CedarWorks we remember growing up outdoors. Playing on a swingset or riding bikes until mom had to call us indoors. Now it seems you have to make kids play outdoors. Children can be provided with limited tools for their playtime and come up with great things if given the opportunity. I consider CedarWorks swingsets to be big tools for creative play. I mean what kid didn't play their swingset was a castle, or a ship sailing over shark infested waters!
When our kids grow up their memories should be of real tangible moments, not "I remember I really liked my DS games"!
Anyways great post and play on!!

I enjoyed Imagination Playground today. It reminded me of when my mom would be making dinner, setting the table and hollering out the screen door "Where are all my SPOONS?" because we had confiscated them slowly to use for digging in the backyard!
